Frequently Asked Questions
-
What's the benefit of luxury hotel and cruise bookings through you?
You can receive extra amenities—such as daily breakfast, room upgrade on arrival if available, early check-in/late checkout, and a food/drink, spa or onboard credit (often around $100; varies by company and date)—with ZERO booking fee (I am paid via my travel agency commission, not by you!)
I book through my agency affiliation, attach your preferences, and coordinate with the property or cruise line before you arrive, so those notes are on file and you don’t have to chase them.
Your reservation is issued in your name and you pay the hotel or cruise line directly. I’m your point of contact for pre-arrival adjustments and any hiccups, so the experience stays smooth from planning to check-in.

What is included in a “Curated Itinerary” service?
Every itinerary is custom-built around your travel style, pace, and priorities.
If you like structure, I’ll create a daily schedule with times, reservations, and travel windows — built around details like “we’re early risers” or “we love a day packed with activities.”
If you prefer something more flexible, I’ll design a looser itinerary instead — lists of recommended restaurants, coffee shops, local walks, and activities you can mix and match at your own pace.
For multi-day or multi-stop trips, I also handle logistics and transitions between locations — such as airport transfers, car rentals, scenic drive routes, or rail connections — so the travel days feel just as seamless as the destination itself.
-
What if I want budget-friendly bookings/food/activities?
That’s completely fine! Just let me know your total trip budget and I’ll be sure the itinerary doesn’t go above it.
Note: Generally, hotels under $200 per night don’t offer “perks” programs (free breakfast/upgrades), but I can still handle your booking and requests — crib or pack ’n play setup, extra pillows, early check-in, high floor, or quiet room away from the elevator.Transparency is a core value for me: if a hotel booking won’t include perks, I’ll tell you upfront. My goal is to help you have the smoothest, most enjoyable trip possible within your budget!
-
What types of trips can you help plan?
Just about anything. I plan weekend getaways, city breaks, national park trips, family vacations, couples’ retreats, honeymoons, destination elopements, and cruises — in the U.S. and abroad.
Some clients come to me for a quick hotel booking with perks, while others want a detailed, multi-day itinerary with restaurant ideas, activity suggestions, and pacing that fits their travel style. Every trip is customized to your goals, comfort level, and budget.
-
When is payment due and what payment methods do you accept?
For hotel and cruise bookings (which I book through my agency at no planning fee), payment follows the hotel or cruise line’s normal policy.
Some properties charge a deposit or full payment at the time of booking, while others charge at check-in. I’ll always confirm those details before we finalize anything, so there are no surprises. For custom itineraries (where a planning fee applies), payment for the planning service is due before I begin building your itinerary. Once the fee is received, I’ll start creating your schedule, confirming hotels, and outlining logistics.
-
Can you book my flights/trains?
I do not handle flight or train bookings directly.
This is because my agency partners with hotels, cruise lines, and tour companies—not airlines—meaning I’m not able to step in with changes when delays or cancellations happen.
That said, I’m happy to include flight suggestions as part of your curated itinerary, but I recommend booking flights yourself so you can manage any schedule changes directly with the airline.
-
Can I use and earn hotel loyalty points when booking through you?
Yes. Many properties booked through my agency affiliation are eligible for hotel loyalty points, and you’ll typically earn them as if you booked directly. That said, some rates or hotel partners may exclude points or reduce elite-credit. I will absolutely confirm whether your selected stay is point-eligible before we book!
-
What if I have questions about something while I'm on my trip?
Absolutely. If questions come up while you’re on your trip, I’m available for messages or calls between 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST.
If health concerns are a priority, let me know before you travel — I can share information on the closest urgent-care clinics or hospitals near your hotels in advance for peace of mind. -
Is there a booking minimum?
Nope! From a quick weekend “staycation” to a 10-day international trip, I’m here to help.
-
So you don't charge ANYTHING to book my hotel/cruise/tour company?
Correct! For hotel, cruise, and most tour-company bookings, there’s absolutely no fee to you. My travel agency is compensated by the property/cruise line after your trip is complete, at no added cost on your end.
